Cinema advertising has a basic technical procedure
which consists of two steps; transferring and
duplication.
Transfer
Transfers are made from "betacam tapes" to
"35 mm.films". The requirements for the tape to film
transfers are; DCT or Digital Betacam or Analogue
Betacam with the choice of Dolby Digital Dat / Dolby
Dat or Stereo Dat
Duplications
The transferred films are duplicated due
to the number of movie theatres selected in the
media plan of the client. According to the time
period they are used, re-prints of film duplicates
are recommended for sight quality.
The requirements for the duplication are;
35 mm. internegative film + optical sound track
(stereo dolby digital) + one answer print (rush
print)
